Record Store Day this year on 20 April 2024.
Record Store Day is a global happening organized once a year by independent record stores. Fabulous artists and hot bands produce special-releases for RSD, many of which later become coveted rarities. To add to the excitement, most RSD-items are produced in very limited amounts.
The set-up includes a wide range of different musical genres from small indie-labels to big record companies.
It’s a day for the people who make up the world of the record store—the staff, the customers, and the artists—to come together and celebrate the unique culture of a record store and the special role they play in their communities.
Record Store Day was launched in the US in 2008 and it has grown into the highlight of the year for music-lovers and vinyl-collectors, resulting in queues that go around the block in the early hours of the morning.
This year, Black and White Records participates in RSD for the eighth time, and to be modest, we have the best coverage of the products in Finland!
